STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION Application Errors

Following are the most common mistakes made by the candidates of Staff Selection Commission while submitting the Application.



1. Applications not submitted in prescribed format as per the Notice published in the Employment New (Rojgar Samachar). 
2. Incomplete or illegible applications.
3. Unsigned/undated applications.
4. Without good quality standard passport size (5 cm x 7 cm) photograph. 
5. Affixing/attaching Xerox copy of Photograph.
6. Without signatures in box below the Photo and/or on Application form, and on various Declarations.
7. Signatures made in Block/Capital letters in English.
8. Particulars of Exam Fees Paid not filled in relevant column of Application/ without CRFS of requisite value and validity; Non-payment of Fee at all wherever applicable.
9. Non-cancellation of CRFS properly by the concerned Post Office.
10. Applications not filled in English or Hindi or not filled by candidate in his/her own handwriting
11. Without proper certificates, in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates and/or Exservicemen. For relaxation sought in age or physical standards or any relaxation sought for as a Government employee or Departmental Candidate, Certificate should be obtained from the competent authority in the prescribed format.
12. Without Declaration by OBC candidate in the format as given in Annexure (of the Application Form) by the Candidate.
13. Under aged/over aged candidates.
14. Not having the requisite Educational Qualifications as on the specified/prescribed date.
15. Photocopies of the relevant certificates not attested.
16. More than one application for the same post/group of posts by the same candidate or sent in one envelope.
17. Applications of more than one candidate sent in one envelope.
18. Incorrect information or misrepresentation or suppression of material facts.
19. Without signatures on “Declaration by all Candidates”.
20. Any other irregularity.

Procedure for Online submission of application


Online submission of application may be made at website www.ssconline.nic.in. Detailed instructions are available at the site. Candidate should read the instructions carefully before making any entry or selecting options. Candidate should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. Mandatory fields are marked with * (asterisk) sign. The filling of online application contains two parts:
      For Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination - 2014

                 Registration (Starts on 19-07-2014)
                 Registration (Closes on 19-08-2014 up to 5:00 pm)
       
In Part I registration, candidate will have to fill basic information. On submission of details, candidate will be prompted to check the details and make correction, if any, in the application.


  1. Candidate may press “I agree” button after declaration once he/she finds that information supplied by him/her is in order and no correction is required. Thereafter no correction/modification shall be allowed.
  2. When “I agree” button is pressed, a page with Registration No. will be generated. Please note down registration number or take a print out of the page. The application is incomplete without payment , uploading of photograph, and scanned signature.
  3. Then upload a recently taken scanned photograph in JPG format. The digital size of each file must be less that 12 kb and greater than 4 kb and resolution 100 pixel widths by 120 pixels height.
  4. Then upload your scanned signature in JPG format. The digital size of each file must be less that 12 kb and greater than 1 kb and resolution 140 pixel widths by 60 pixels height.
  5. Candidates who can pay application fee online though SBI net banking or cash through SBI bank challan.
  6. To pay fee in cash, candidate should take printout of challan generated online after completion of registration. Candidate may go to nearest SBI branch for depositing fees after 24 hours of submission of online form.  In case of offline channel, if the candidate submits form on 19.07.2014, they may submit payment till 20.07.2014. Print option will be available till 21.07.2014.
  7. Those who want to pay online through SBI portal can go directly after submission of form.
  8. Those who are exempted from payment of fee can skip steps 5 to 7.
  9. An email will be sent to your email id informing you that the application has been successfully registered. Registration No, email confirming registration and proof of payment of application fee should be retained by you.
  10. Candidates are advised to go through the instructions carefully before filling up the application form.
  11. Regional offices of the commission have been advised to place details of application numbers, Roll numbers and ticket number of candidates at least one week before the date of the examination. They will also provide the facility of downloading of Admission Certificate (Hall Ticket) from their website. If you do not receive the Admission Certificate within a month of the Examination and are unable to download the Admission Certificate from the Regional website concerned, you must contact the Regional office concerned.   
  12. Request for change/correction in any particulars in the Application Form shall not be entertained under any circumstances. The Staff Selection Commission will not be responsible for any consequences arising out of furnishing of incorrect and incomplete details in the application or omission to provide the required details in the application form.
